17001/TA1 S801 BWC
Dennis Trident TA1 17001 S801 BWC
New in 1999 For Stagecoach East London's Leyton Garage, However before entering service for London TA1 did a tour of other stagecoach operating companies before coming back to London and being repainted all over red.
when new TA1 was painted into the Stagecoach Provincial White Stripe Livery. this livery was never used in service sadly.
After being in service for so long and being the only one of the batch to stay in London we had to say farewell.
TA1's Final day was celebrated with a day on the 158's. I was the final person to drive the bus on this day.
The bus was then repainted into standard Stagecoach livery before being placed on long term loan to the London Bus Museum Brooklands.
After a few years TA1 returned back to WH after the Loan Period was due to end. it wasn't known as to what was going to happen and after nearly a years worth of discussions it was agreed that I could Purchase TA1 for Further Preservation. To say I was over the moon is an understatement. Then the Work Began to get her back on the Road after a long period of inactivity. Sadly she didnt make her first event due to a compressor Failure and had to be accompanied home with an American Lonestar Recovery truck. After a lot of new parts fitted TA1 Made her first event in style Detling 2022. Below is a Brief History
