We are the South London Dart Collection,

founded in November 2017 to showcase my fleet of preserved Dennis Darts. It all started when I purchased my first Dennis Dart, the Marshall Capital Bodied DMS356 V356 DLH, which later grew to becoming the largest collection of Preserved Darts owned by one individual.

I also own other buses including the first preserved Dennis Trident, Stagecoach London LX51 FOD, as well as the First Trident Built, TA1, and Leyland Titan A64 THX within the Collection. A group of five of us also own A64 THX, and it will be on the rally scene soon too.

At present, not all of the buses are out and about at shows or running days, but they are being worked on and maintained. Some buses get pushed back down the restoration queue, while others get pushed ahead depending on their readiness or suitability for upcoming events.

We have presence on Flickr, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, and intend on updating our website with up-to-date photos and information, alongside updating our social media pages more frequently.

This passion for buses started for me years ago when I went to school on the batch of buses used at TL on the 124 and TB on the 314. When I began my career in 2011 as the youngest driver at the time, I didn't know what I was in for. Meeting a member of staff, who shall remain nameless, at that time started it all for me. Little did I know I would develop an obsession (which I can't hide) for Dennis Darts.

The name SLD was suggested by a friend, mainly because most of my fleet was Stagecoach, and that was their class name for the fleet. Also, all of my Darts are from South London. Our fleet is part of the larger and well-known Bromley Bus Preservation Group.

This website is a work in progress, and updates will occur whenever possible as we all have day jobs in the industry, and this is done just as a hobby.

If you have any comments or suggestions, please get in touch with us via the link on the main page.

S.K. Engineering Bus and Coach Support comes highly recommended by us here at the SLD. No matter what the job is, they manage to sort it out, even when others have messed it up.
